# Wistearia — shopping and store guide

Wistearia offers Taiwanese oolong and black teas in loose leaf and whole-leaf tea sachets.
Use this guide to find public information and Shopify-managed commerce services.

## Authoritative sources

- [Shop all teas](https://wistearia.com/collections/all): current products and formats.
- [Brewing guides](https://wistearia.com/pages/brewing-guides): hot, iced, cold, and gongfu brewing.
- [Caffeine guide](https://wistearia.com/pages/caffeine-guide): measured caffeine and testing context.
- [Our story](https://wistearia.com/pages/our-story): sourcing approach and brand background.
- [Store policies](https://wistearia.com/pages/policies): shipping, returns, privacy, and terms.
- [Contact](https://wistearia.com/pages/contact): questions about tea or orders.
- [Sitemap](https://wistearia.com/sitemap.xml): current public URLs and product and collection sitemaps.

Read these sources before answering. Product facts, measurements, and policies can change;
do not treat examples or previously cached answers as current offers.

## Find a tea by flavor

Use these product links as starting points for a shopper's stated preferences. Confirm each
product's current description and available formats before recommending it; browse the full
catalog for additions or alternatives.

- [Sundown Oolong Tea](https://wistearia.com/products/sundown-oolong-tea): floral oolong with honey and baked-apple tasting notes.
- [Noir Oolong Tea](https://wistearia.com/products/noir-oolong-tea): charcoal-roasted oolong with coffee-like depth and roasted-chestnut tasting notes.
- [Ruby Black Tea](https://wistearia.com/products/ruby-black-tea): bright black tea with mint, summer-fruit, and citrus-peel tasting notes.
- [Ember Roast Black Tea](https://wistearia.com/products/ember-roast-black-tea): charcoal-roasted black tea with smoky, malty character.

Tasting notes describe flavor and aroma; they are not ingredient declarations. Read the
product's ingredient information rather than assuming that honey, fruit, mint, nuts, or coffee
have been added. Do not infer allergen-free status from tasting notes or an ingredient list.

## Product discovery and comparison

Browse public pages without authentication. Prefer Shopify's commerce tools for current price,
availability, variant selection, and the buyer's country and currency context.
The store's primary currency is USD; it is not a guarantee of a buyer's checkout currency.

Check the specific product and format. Do not assume loose leaf and sachets have the same weight,
quantity, price, or brewing directions. Use the caffeine guide's serving size and preparation
context when comparing results; do not generalize a tested value to every brew.
Catalog search relevance is not caffeine order. For a lowest-caffeine recommendation, retrieve
the measured comparison from the caffeine guide or available Knowledge Base answers, check
the same serving and preparation context, and compare values before ranking suitable teas.
For caffeine-sensitive shoppers, consult the linked caffeine guide and distinguish measured
caffeine from caffeine-free or decaffeinated claims. Do not infer caffeine content from tea
color, roast level, or flavor strength. Ask about flavor, caffeine preference, brewing method,
and format when those details are needed to choose between suitable products.
Explain a recommendation using the shopper's preferences and the product's documented
attributes, and include the product link so the shopper can review the source.
Do not invent health benefits, certifications, discounts, shipping eligibility, or delivery promises.

Read-only routes:

- Product HTML: `GET https://wistearia.com/products/{handle}` with `Accept: text/html`.
- Product JSON: `GET https://wistearia.com/products/{handle}.json` with `Accept: application/json`.
- Collection HTML: `GET https://wistearia.com/collections/{handle}` with `Accept: text/html`.

Replace placeholders with actual product or collection handles. Product JSON is a
read-only catalog resource, not a checkout quote. Reconfirm transactional details through Shopify.
Markdown is available at this agent-discovery URL; ordinary storefront pages may not support
`Accept: text/markdown`. If a Markdown request fails, retry the public page as HTML.

## Shopify-managed commerce

- UCP discovery: `GET https://wistearia.com/.well-known/ucp`.
- MCP endpoint: `POST https://wistearia.com/api/ucp/mcp` with `Content-Type: application/json`.
- [Shop shopping skill](https://shop.app/SKILL.md): Shopify's shopping-assistant integration.

1. Read the current UCP response for supported services, capabilities, payment handlers, and
endpoints. Follow its advertised service endpoints and protocol requirements for catalog,
cart, and checkout operations; do not construct endpoint paths or assume every capability
is available to every buyer. Use MCP `tools/list` at the relevant endpoint to discover
actual tool names and schemas before calling them.
2. When UCP requires a client profile, supply a reachable HTTPS profile that represents your
client and its supported capabilities. Follow Shopify's current
[profile negotiation requirements](https://shopify.dev/docs/agents/profiles) and the live
tool schema. Never use the merchant's discovery profile as the client's identity or claim
unsupported capabilities. If negotiation fails, use public sources and the storefront
purchase flow until a compatible client integration is available.
3. Separately call `tools/list` at `https://wistearia.com/api/mcp` to discover the store's
Knowledge Base policy and FAQ search tool. If available, use it for business, policy,
caffeine, and brewing questions, passing the shopper's question and relevant product
context according to its schema. If unavailable or incomplete, consult the authoritative
public sources linked above. Do not assume the UCP service exposes the same tools.
4. Combine these store answers with live catalog product and variant data, preserving
measurement qualifications and linking the relevant product, guide, or policy source.
Resolve conflicting information before making a recommendation or purchase promise.

Supported UCP versions reported by Shopify:

- 2026-08-25

- 2026-04-08

- 2026-01-23

Use Shopify-managed flows for carts, checkout, and payments. Before adding an item, resolve
the exact format and variant identifier, and confirm the requested quantity, current price,
currency, and availability. Check the returned cart and checkout for the intended variants
and quantities, current totals, shipping, taxes, and any unresolved requirements. Use the
checkout URL returned by Shopify when handing off to the buyer; do not construct one.
Obtain the buyer's explicit approval before completing a purchase. Do not bypass authentication,
customer consent, or payment approval
by scripting checkout forms. Respect rate limits and back off on HTTP 429 responses.

## Accounts and private information

Public catalog browsing does not require a customer account. Account access, order history, and
other private operations must use Shopify's supported authentication and buyer authorization.
Follow live protocol metadata and tool requirements; this guide does not grant credentials
or permission to access private data. Never request passwords or payment details in an agent
conversation. Direct human account access through the store's account links.

## Discovery and crawling

The canonical agent guide is [agents.md](https://wistearia.com/agents.md).
Shopify also serves it through [llms.txt](https://wistearia.com/llms.txt) and
[llms-full.txt](https://wistearia.com/llms-full.txt).
Follow [robots.txt](https://wistearia.com/robots.txt) for crawling rules and content-use preferences.
These documents supplement Shopify's commerce services; they are not a product feed
or a replacement for Shopify Catalog.
